Terms & Conditions
1. Deposit
A booking for a holiday becomes firm when a deposit of £200, together with a completed booking form is received by JulianAlps. Up to that time it is a provisional booking, and provisional bookings are held for a maximum of 14 days. Visitors’ deposits are held (on top of the full cost of that rental) until 10 days after their departure date at which time it will be returned to the Visitor. Remittances must be made in £'s sterling.
2. VAT
The holiday price includes Value Added Tax.
If rates of VAT change, JulianAlps reserve the right to amend prices accordingly.
3. Final Payment
The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable not later than four weeks before the holiday begins. Reminders or receipts will not be sent unless requested. If the full balance is not paid on time, JulianAlps reserve the right to cancel the holiday booking, in which case the deposit will be forfeit.
4. Cancellation
The reservation of a holiday cottage amounts to making a contract. The Visitor remains liable for the final payment on the due date as indicated in condition 3 above, and any failure to make such a payment in full at that time will be treated as a Breach of Contract. On receipt of a written cancellation JulianAlps will endeavor to re-book the property and, if successful, will refund all the money paid, less £30 to cover administration. If JulianAlps are unable to secure another booking the Visitor will loose £100 of their £200 deposit in addition to the administration charge.
You are strongly advised to take out personal insurance against the financial loss, which you would suffer if you were to cancel your booking.
5. Right To Refuse
JulianAlps reserves the right to refuse any booking and, in exceptional circumstances, to cancel, modify or alter arrangements made for the Visitor. If a booking has to be cancelled, modified or altered by JulianAlps, it will make every effort to offer an alternative holiday. If the Visitor does not accept the alternative holiday offered, JulianAlps will return any monies paid whereupon JulianAlps' liability will cease.
6. Weather
If your cottage becomes inaccessible due to drifting snow or floods in the immediate vicinity of the cottage, we will do our best to inform you in advance and to offer an alternative booking date where possible.
7. Visitor Accommodation
Accommodation is limited to the number of persons for whom the booking is made, the maximum number that stated in the booking must not exceed.
8. Holiday Duration
Accommodation is booked from 2pm on the Saturday of arrival until 10am on the Saturday to departure. Visitors are to ensure that all personal possessions are removed by no later than 10am. Any change to arrival and departure dates and times must be confirmed with JulianAlps at the time of booking.
9. Joint Bookings
Where two or more parties join together to take a holiday property, the booking should be made in one name only. That person (the Visitor) will be responsible for all payments and any damage.
10. Loss of Visitor Property
JulianAlps cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to any belongings, or for injury sustained by the Visitor or members of his/her party during their stay at the holiday property.
11. Right of Entry
JulianAlps and/or its agents reserve the right to enter any cottage at any reasonable time on reasonable cause.
12. Visitor Obligations
The Visitor undertakes to keep the premises and all the furniture, fixtures and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the booking period and shall pay JulianAlps the value of any part of the premises, furniture, fixtures or fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as to be incapable of being restored to its previous condition. Breakages and damages should be reported as soon as possible. Losses incurred by JulianAlps will be taken from the Visitors £200 deposit.
13. Property Cleanliness
The Visitor and members of his/her party are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy. JulianAlps reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition.
14. Breakages or damage
The visitor is legally bound to reimburse JulianAlps for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand.
