Julian Alps

The Julian Alps are a relatively undiscovered, undeveloped gem. Sharp limestone summits, densely wooded valley bottoms and beautiful emerald rivers that tumble through rocky gorges.
Being part of the former Yugoslavia has protected Slovenia from the worst of Western style development but its close proximity to Austria and Italy gives it a relatively cosmopolitan feel. Imagine the Italian or French Alps 20 years ago and you're in Slovenia.
The chalet is located in the northwest corner of Slovenia, only 15km from Italy and Austria in the heart of the beautiful Soca Valley. The small provincial town of Bovec and it's bars, restaurants and shops are just five minutes drive away.

A number of budget airlines now fly to airports within a couple of hours of the chalet; Ljubljana (Capital of Slovenia), Trieste and Venice (both Marco Polo and Treviso) are all between one and two hours drive away.
To make the best of your holiday we recommend that the chalet is booked on a group basis with friends and family etc. The accommodation would best suit parties of around six but could accommodated between four and ten by special arrangement. Ideally winter clients should all be of a similar standard to make best use of the guiding or coaching services and should ride together to take advantage of the free transport to and from different resort each day. Larger groups or parties wishing to ride in a number of destinations will need their own additional transport.
