What a feast for the senses. Great house Matt - Great food wherever we ate and increadible scenery.
Took the cable car to the top of the mountain, about €11. Allow at least a couple of hours to get the summit and back.
No rods with us but fish spotting was mind blowing with some of the large trout in the rivers - polaroid sunnies help but not necessarywith the super clean water.

Bank in the centre of town exchanges money - (great rate too) and even takes the dodgy Scottish currency Dave brought along.

Recommend the drive up the Soca Valley and over to Lake Bled but dont come back via Bohinjska, signs not too reliable and many roads closed. The drive up Soca gave us some of the most spectacular views we’ve seen on this 3000 mile trip through France, Italy and Austria so take your camera.

So much in so little time! I’m writing this with just two more nights to go….. Dave, Colin and I arrived on the 4th August at Venice Marco Polo, picked up a hire car and finally made it here sometime after midnight. We’ve not stopped since!

Saturday - Walked over the road, down to the river and into town. The walk is longer this way but certainly worth the effort. Booked to go rafting on Sunday and then made sure we knew where the Pink Panther Bar was for later. Must recomend the resaurant Letni, pizza Alta was great and we’ve eaten there every meal since.

Ended up spending the evening and most of the night in the Pink Panter, got home well after 04.00!!! Colin tried dancing on the tables (a very popular activity) whilst also drinking far too much rum. The night flew by as the place was packed with people and the music was good.

Sunday - Rafting - Great fun

Monday - Caving - We hired a guide and went exploring. Would recommend the trip - just be aware that it’s dark!

Tuesday - A day in the mountains and a night at te capital - Ljubljana.

Wednesday - Lake Bled and over the pass in time for dinner and the Pink Panter.
