Kal-Koritnica – the best bits
Breakfast on the balcony in the sunshine looking over the neighbour’s orchard and up to Svinjak. The house-martin’s nest and the lizard on the balcony, the redstarts (and black redstarts?) in the orchard. Walking back from Bovec in the dark with the glowbugs twinkling all around. The beautiful Soča River, so clean and clear and blue-green, so refreshing to look at and sit beside but unfortunately too cold and fast-flowing to swim in. Some not-too-strenuous days out walking, with scrambly routes up and amazing views. Cycling in the sunshine through pretty unspoilt countryside. And so many butterflies and other insects, and the lovely flowers high up on ‘bare’ mountainsides.
